A beautiful writing of autumn and its fellows: old people in Japan. We can feel the calming but yet slow and depressing atmophere throught out the book, but in the end, a light from a young person – the author’s daughter – seems to brighten everything up. A novel but it feels like a long poem. Reading his book is just like having a cup of hot tea in the early winter, or a walk in the middle of the park, and a pause in life to cherish the living moment of time.
